Community Preservation Committee Appointments on 6/11/24

PLYMOUTH SELECT BOARD

Tuesday June 11th, 2024UESDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2024 in the Great Hall, Plymouth Town Hall, 26 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 6:00 PM

At last Tuesday’s Select Board meeting, a letter of support for Bill Keohan signed by 80+ Plymouth residents was read aloud during public comment. At last spring’s election, 800+ residents wrote Bill’s name in for Select Board as a sign of solidarity and endorsement. This coming Tuesday the Select Board will meet to appoint a number of committees including two seats on the Community Preservation Committee (CPC).

Bill is up for reappointment.

Under Bill’s leadership, The CPC has preserved more than 2,000 acres of conservation and recreational land, created more than 150 units of affordable housing, and preserved historical landmarks including the 1820 Court House, the National Pilgrim Memorial Meeting House, the Plymouth Center for the Arts, the Spire Center for the Performing Arts, and the Town Bell.

One would hope, with that track record and the letter/votes of support as a proxy, it would be an easy choice for the Board.

  • G. Edward Bradley

  • William Keohan (Incumbent)
