Please mark your calendar to attend (in person) the next Select Board meeting at Town Hall to hear the CAC present their findings which resulted in a 3-2 vote against endorsing the draft “Single Environmental Impact Report” (published by the town’s consultant in September 2025).
In the fall of 2023, the town submitted a request (to the state) to increase the current wastewater ground discharge in Camelot Park – from 0.75 Million Gallons per Day (MGD) to 3.0 MGD – located at the headwaters of Eel River (see map below)
On January 6th, 2024 the Secretary of Environmental Affairs denied the towns request stating, “the Proponent [town] should submit a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR)…” At the communities’ request, the Select Board created a Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) in June of 2024.
Earlier this year, the town’s consultant submitted a draft of the “Single Environmental Impact Report” for the CAC to review.
The Eel River Watershed Association (ERWA) fully supports efforts to maintain the quality and availability of drinking water for every resident in Plymouth and the health of our harbor, however, ERWA is very concerned with the scope and quality of the current study as it stands today.
