The Eel River flows through the heart of Chiltonville. It’s ~3.9 miles long starting at the cranberry bogs east of Long Pond Road, flowing to the mouth of Plymouth Harbor. Another branch of the river begins south of Forge Pond and continues north past Clifford Road bridge where it connects to the main branch.
The Eel River Watershed consists of approximately 15 square miles, containing roughly 800 acres of open water habitat for various fish species and wildlife that create a healthy ecosystem.
We invite you to join the Eel River Watershed Association (ERWA) as an Advocate Member. Membership is free, no strings attached (opt-out anytime), intended to express your concern for the health and wellbeing of the watershed. Learn more more about the ERWA here.
