HNY – 2025: Another trip around the sun

We’re hoping to see you on January 12th , 3:45 – 5:15 for our double feature:

1. Agricultural Commission and the Right to Farm

Plymouth is a Right to Farm community. The Agricultural Commission believes that a voluntary science-based approach following guidelines from Mass. Dept. of Agriculture and Resources will properly address farm related complaints to the town. The Town Manager and Health Department would prefer to have regulations written to address this.

AgCom has voted to go out to the farming community for additional input to this voluntary agreement between the farmer and the Town of Plymouth.  Please plan to join us to hear from AgCom and provide input on this topic.

2. Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel (NDCAP) Update

Mike Fortini, Minority Leader of the Senate NDCAP appointee, will return to update us on the Pilgrim Decommissioning effort:

  • Provide an update on scheduled activities in support of 2035 partial site release*.
  • Status of the disposition for the approximate 889K remaining gallons of water in the plant.

*Partial site release allows for unrestricted use of part of the site by the licensee before final approval of License Termination Plan.
