Paint your vision

Last week’s Master Planning kickoff was the start of a process empowering Plymouthians to paint a vision of their future. This is an opportunity for all of us to participate and provide input through this interactive map where you can place ‘stickers’ indicating Important Places, Places to Improve or Change, and Ideas and Suggestions.

You might think about placing one of those stickers on the map with a comment like:

• “This is the Holtec property. Roughly 1,500 acres or 2.5 square miles sitting right at the geographic center of Plymouth. This would be the perfect spot for Plymouth to to provide non-motorized recreation and educational opportunities by managing, maintaining, and building trails to foster the health of our community, surrounding environment, and regional economy.”
• “This is Old Sandwich Road, “the oldest continuously used road in America”, where traffic feeding into Chiltonville has increased 2.5 times over what was originally projected. We need to keep large trucks from traveling on these ancient ways and protect Chiltonville from excessive traffic speeds and volume”
• “This is Plymouth’s sole source aquifer that must be protected by prohibiting excessive sand and gravel removal.”
• “This is Eel River, a critical part of our aquifer that flows into Plymouth Harbor. We need to preserve its water quality regarding bacteria, pharmaceuticals/chemicals, microplastics, and nutrient loading.“
