In response to our survey of future topics to cover, and a general interest on how groups like ours can engage and influence public policy (particularly around open space), this December, retired real estate lawyer, Rich Serkey, will present the main features of some of the following topics:

• What the Zoning Bylaw is.
• What’s Town Meeting’s role in Zoning .
• What the Planning Board can and cannot do under the Zoning Bylaw and its relationship to the Zoning Board of Appeals. 
• What the Conservation Commission is charged to do.
• The Open Meeting law and the recent case against the Select Board. 
• Explanation of Mass General Laws Ch 61, 61A and 61B. What properties in Chiltonville fall under these designations and, in particular, the Holtec land.
